The Armstrong County Community Foundation is hosting a Day of Giving on Thursday, May 9. On this day only, a Match Fund matches donations made to eligible organizations, including Holy Family Institute! In Armstrong County, Holy Family’s services include In-Home Family Counseling, Family Group Decision Making, Independent Living services, and the Visit Coaching program. HFI’s Armstrong County office is located at 420 Third Avenue, Ford City, PA 16226.
All donations to Holy Family Institute received through the Armstrong Day of Giving on May 9 will be used for the 2013 Community Awareness Day Family Celebration/Resource Fair in Ford City. Held in October, this annual event draws more than 700 attendees and gives families a chance to connect with a variety of social service agencies to learn more about life-changing programs that are available in the Armstrong area. With reductions in funding for many state programs, it is important to give these families an opportunity to access services that are so critical to their well-being. Additionally, this event gives them a chance to enjoy a fun evening together as a family, with food, games and giveaways.
