Home-Based Family Recovery
Home-based Family Recovery (HFR) is an intensive and comprehensive in-home program for families that include a caregiving parent with recent or active substance use and a young child who is at risk of removed by the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (CYF).
Our goal is to help reduce the risk of removal and help children develop in a drug-free, safe, and stable home with their parents.
Each family’s home-based Family Recovery team includes a consulting psychiatrist, two clinicians, and a family support specialist to support them on their recovery from substance use. Families usually remain in this program six months to a year, depending on their specific needs. There is no fee for this program, but participants must be referred by CYF.
Generous support from Holy Family Institute donors makes our wide variety of programs available to the children and families who need them most. To join our mission of hope and healing, please consider making a donation.
