Connecting adults with employment-related opportunities and supportive services that help them earn a living, manage their finances and provide for their families.
In today’s economy, many families are struggling financially. When adults lack job training and education, have learning disabilities or suffer from illiteracy, finding and keeping a job can be even more difficult. Assisting financially-struggling families with these and other significant barriers to employment, the Strong Families Collaborative is an evidence-based, in-home program that connects adults with employment-related opportunities and supportive services that help them transition to employment.
Through improved life skills, such as problem-solving, communication and stress management, these adults are better equipped to address obstacles, function as a productive member of their family, and seek job opportunities.
Clients are given instruction on resume writing, interview etiquette, and similar skills to prepare them for success in an ever-competitive job market. Additionally, the program includes instruction on budgeting and other tools to create financial security for the family.
