Workforce Readiness Program Coordinator

 

Division: Holy Family Social Services

Locations:  Emsworth – Main Campus

Reports to: Director of Unified Services

Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. with flexibility for evenings and weekends

 

General Statement of Duties: This position will director Holy Family’s workforce readiness program.  The Coordinator will be responsible for managing projects, engaging the business community to serve on an advisory employer board, developing content, and conducting outreach for job creation for youth in Holy Family’s programs.  The ideal candidate will be flexible, organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently and multitasking.  Must have good oral communications skills and able to interact with corporate leaders, advocates, and policymakers.  Good written communication skills are required. 

 

Essential Functions: 

1.      Promotes the Mission and Philosophy of Holy Family Institute.

2.      Lead and administer the entire employment life-cycle for youth from requisition to position close

3.      partner with hiring managers to identify the best candidate fit

4.      Work with staff job coaches and volunteer job coaches to help youth and teach appropriate work behaviors and interpersonal skills.

5.      Provide individual task analysis and task training to clients on-the –job. 

6.      Facilitate communication during orientation and training sessions offered by employers.

7.      Attend all required meetings and in-services.

8.      Responsible for recording client progress and tracking.

9.      Conduct weekly Job Club meetings for clients and referrals to program.

10. Assists in preparation of program satisfaction evaluations for recipients.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work or rehab counseling preferred.  Minimum of one year teaching or supervising adults with disabilities, preferably in a vocational setting.  Previous case management experience preferred.   Basic knowledge of good work practices, computers and Microsoft Word, Excel and email systems.  Current PA driver’s license, Act 33/34 and FBI clearances required.  Awareness of disability and workplace modification/accommodation issues.  Cross-cultural communication skills and ability to work with an economically and culturally diverse clientele.  Candidate must have a high school diploma (Bachelor’s degree preferred). Must have at least one (1) or more years of experiences working with children in group activities and classroom setting. Candidate must have good communication and organizational skills. Current Act 33/34 & FBI clearances, Valid PA Driver’s license are required. EOE
