Lead Counselor

SHORES PROGRAM

 

 

Employer:  Holy Family Social Services

Reports to: Clinical Supervisor

Hours:  Full-time; must show flexibility in scheduling to satisfy the needs of the clients. Some evenings and weekends.

 

 

General Statement of Duties:  Provide drug and alcohol services to client and families.

 

Essential Functions:

  1. Promote the philosophy and mission of H.F.I. in the provision of service
  2. Assess client and family problem areas and identify the resources for solving their problems
  3. Assess drug and alcohol treatment needs of clients and their families
  4. Assure that all services provided to client and families are goal focused
  5. Provide 15 hours weekly of direct service to clients on assigned caseload
  6. Develop and implement goal plans for recovery or recent relapse/codependency with/or for Counselor Assistant and the client
  7. Document all activities provided to client/family
  8. Provide drug and alcohol consultations to staff
  9. Assure the completion of treatment discharge process.
  10. Supervision of Counselors
  11. Participate in on-going D/A program development and quality assurance
  12. Develop and increase personal skills in providing drug and alcohol services to client and family.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Human Services area with a knowledge of child development, family dynamics, and a minimum of 3-5 years experience in counseling with drug and alcohol, individual and family, in-home and residential clients.  Willing to work toward the Gambling Certification. LPC or LCSW is preferable. Must have a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license, current Act 33/34 and FBI clearances. Additionally, must have use of a car during work hours; be capable of visiting families in their homes and transport children and families in a car.  EOE
