Reports to:  Director of Food Services

Location:  Washington School

Hours:  Full-time position.  7:00 a.m.-3:00p.m. 9 month position – during school year.

General Statement of Duties: The Cook is responsible for the production and serving of breakfast/lunch to students within guidelines of the National School Breakfast/National School Lunch Programs.

 

Essential Functions: 

  1. Promotes the Mission and Philosophy of Holy Family Institute.
  2. Able to work with large volume food production
  3. Follow standardized recipes in the preparing of food
  4. Daily count sheets are tallied accurately and on time
  5. Adhere to all sanitary regulations governing handling of food.
  6. Organize and clean work areas and equipment.
  7. Ordering of supplies in a timely manner
  8. Ability to meet all physical demands of job

 

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma.  Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years experience in volume food production within a county or state inspected facility.  Knowledge of NSBP/NSLP, ordering supplies, and food handler certification is a plus.  Must be able to lift 40 pounds, and stand for long periods of time. Current Act 33/34 clearances, FBI Clearances and a valid PA driver’s license are required.   EOE
