Holy Family Learning

Success in school is a critical factor in the happiness and self-esteem of a child. Holy Family Learning, a division of Holy Family Institute, provides specialized educational services to help children achieve academic success. Holy Family is a recognized leader in specialized education, serving students from more than 70 school districts throughout Pennsylvania. Holy Family also provides adults with the training they need to support young people who are struggling in school.

Holy Family Learning provides

  • Alternative education (Western PA) for young people whose behavior is a primary factor in their failure to achieve in-school potential

  • Special education in day schools for children with learning issues

  • Contract services to school districts that need specialized teachers or counselors

  • Alternative Education (Eastern PA)

Holy Family Foundation

The fundraising arm of Holy Family Institute is the Holy Family Foundation. The foundation’s fundraising activities are essential to the programs offered by Holy Family Social Services, and Holy Family Learning. The foundation sponsors several annual fundraising events:

  • Arthur J. Rooney, Sr., Courage House Luncheon. The Courage House luncheon takes place in Pittsburgh at Heinz Field and includes guest speakers, live and silent auctions, and the opportunity to obtain priceless autographs from former and current Pittsburgh Steelers. The luncheon honors a Holy Family alumnus and a Steelers football player who have shown courage and tenacity in overcoming personal obstacles.  Call 412-766-9020 ext. 219 for information.

  • Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC).
The EITC program enables a business to make a contribution to Holy Family, at little or no cost! The business gives to a charitable Holy Family program instead of paying a portion of the business's state tax. The dollars raised by the EITC program provide scholarships or support an educational improvement program.

For more information about these events or additional giving opportunities, please call (412) 766-4030.

For information about ways to benefit Holy Family’s programs in Ambler, Pa., visit Saint Mary’s Villa for Children and Families Fundraising Programs.
